Todd Knipschield Obituary

TODD ELI KNIPSCHIELD was born on August 8, 1982, in Redmond, WA. He died, at 38 years old, in Tacoma, WA, on April 4, 2021. He is survived by his wife Judy Enyeart; her three children, Josephine, Katelynn, and Gabriel Oleson; his parents, David and Debbie Knipschield of Auburn, WA; his sister and her husband, Aleshia and Bruce Montgomery of Luther, OK; and his in-laws, Doug and Cathy Enyeart of Silverdale, WA.

Todd graduated from Auburn High School in 2001. He enjoyed academics and excelled in sports, especially baseball. Todd gave his best in everything he did. As a respected team leader, he exemplified diligence and hard work, inspiring his teammates. His love of sports continued into adulthood where he cheered for his favorite teams at live and televised sporting events.

Todd’s tenacity and dedication to excellence continued into his more than decade-long career as an environmental driller, most recently at Holt Services, where he was a committed employee. Often personally requested by clients, Todd worked as if each project were his own. He viewed his co-workers as family … and they, him.

Working outdoors brought Todd great joy. The childhood years he spent with his grandparents on their farm in Matlock, WA, birthed in him a deep love of nature. His hobbies included collecting knives, fishing, hunting, clam digging, hiking, traveling, and camping with his family.

Todd grew his family after meeting Judy and quickly falling in love with her. He loved her children as his own and was so proud of them. His in-laws, Doug and Cathy Enyeart, were viewed as second parents. He was fiercely protective and loyal to his family and delighted in spoiling them.

All those who knew Todd describe him as thoughtful, generous, and kind. He was a quiet leader and mentor and the first to provide a helping hand. He was a good friend to many family members, friends, and co-workers. There are no words to describe how much he will be missed.
