Ronald Pietz Obituary

Ronald Gene Pietz left us for his Heavenly Father early Saturday morning, December 21, 2019.  Ron was very proud of his service in the United States Marine Corp.  Ron worked for Wonder Bread Bakery for 32 years before retiring in 1993.  He spent his retirement as a house husband and he also enjoyed cooking.  Ron was born in Fargo, North Dakota on May 4, 1940 to Reuben and Alice Pietz.  He grew up in Tacoma, attending Lister Elementary, Gault Junior High, and Lincoln High School.  On August 18, 1962 Ron married the love of his life, Shirley.  They became great dancers over the years and received many compliments.  They enjoyed dancing and being with friends at South Tacoma AmVets on Friday nights.  Ron had lots of friends and never went anywhere without meeting someone.  Family was always important to him.  He always enjoyed family get-togethers.  Ron leaves to mourn him, his wife Shirley; his sons Roger and Tony; his daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and John Whitmore; his two granddaughters Kendra and Siarra Whitmore; his two sisters Patti McDonough and Sharon Larkin; his brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Tina Pietz; as well as several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents Alice and Reuben Pietz, and his siblings Darlene Kujawa and Kenny Pietz.
