Joseph Henry Harrison died on August 17, 2018. He was 81 years old. Joe filled his time with friends, family, and afternoons getting his hands dirty playing in his garage. He was a pushover when it came to family, especially his grandchildren, and spent many afternoons with barrettes, hair combs, and the occasional sparkle in his hair. A lover of golf, the outdoors, the refined style of camping that takes place in RVs, Joe excitedly embraced his piece of earth. Joe was preceded in death by his loving parents, Joseph Carlyle Harrison and Elizabeth Eleanor Harrison, and several other family members. Those left to be his living memory are his wonderful wife Sharon; daughters Shanon, Shelli, and Heather; and his playful grandchildren Chloe, Brian, Beatrice, James, Raquel, and Chase.
In recognition of his service to our country Joe will be interred at Tahoma National Cemetery at 11:30 am on Friday, September 7, 2018. A gathering of family and close friends will be held at the Harrison home at 5 pm following the interment. Those wishing to attend may contact Weeks’ Dryer Mortuary for details. Remembrances, to continue Joe’s legacy of service, should go to the Orting Soldier’s Home.
