Jenesi Gayl Talbert (Fadness), 68, of Tacoma Washington, passed away surrounded by love on Friday, November 17, 2023, after an almost three-year battle with ovarian cancer.
Jenesi was born on August 3, 1955, and was adopted three days later by John and Shirley Fadness. She graduated from Washington High School in 1973. After graduation she worked at Wells Fargo bank as a bank teller and then later worked as an Airplane Parts Expediter for an aerospace company.
Jenesi met her husband Michael in 1988 and they were later married July 31, 1993. They had one daughter, Sienna in 1994. Jenesi dedicated her life to being a fantastic and very involved mother. She volunteered for and attended every single one of Sienna’s activities and events, never missing one. In addition, she made an effort to help others when it was needed. She excelled at maintaining great relationships with everyone she met.
Jenesi was passionate about creating delicious treats for everyone to enjoy from baklava to her infamous cupcakes that will be missed by all. She was also passionate about the WSU Cougars and would be known to shout “GO COUGS!” to anyone and everyone, often while dressed in Coug clothes from head to toe.
Jenesi was predeceased by her mother and father. She is survived by her husband Mike of 30 years, her daughter Sienna (Rolan), granddaughter Denali, soon to be born grandson, nieces, nephews, many cousins, and all the kids that called her mom.
A memorial service to celebrate Jenesi’s life will be held on Saturday December 9th 1pm at All Saints Episcopal Church, 205 96th St E, Tacoma, WA 98445. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Toys for Tots.
