Daniel Christian Villegas 56, died unexpectedly on December 18th, 2021. He played an integral part within his home, family and neighborhood. He is survived by his wife Mandi, Children Danielle and Justin, Grandchild Adelaide, Parents Danny and Linda, siblings Lisa, Steven and Aaron and much extended Van Loo and Villegas family. He was a beloved Uncle to Yosha and Nova, patient and compassionate with all the children in his life.
He was born in Santa Monica, California and attended high school and college in Redding California. He was a gentle man who loved helping others. Whenever possible he offered to fix other’s cars, motorcycles and random appliances. Giving of his skills and time gave him great satisfaction. When people actually hired him to do jobs he always had a “Pay what you can” philosophy. He worked over 25 years in the aviation industry in California, Idaho and Nevada and was known for his comprehensive mechanical skills and thoughtfulness.
Admittedly, Daniel’s greatest accomplishments were his children and grandchild Addie. His pride and support was unwavering during both good and difficult times. Always resourceful, he continually created unique and enjoyable ways to spend time with them throughout their lives. Time was a gift he gave generously and was a close friend and confidant to many including his siblings.
His last 3 years were spent in Old Town neighborhood of Tacoma, Washington where he worked in a family business as a maintenance supervisor. He enjoyed mechanics, weather science, and camping. He considered himself a Humanist and was a dedicated family member, friend and neighbor. There is much empty space to fill.
