Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend went home to be with Jesus after a long battle with Covid.
In life, there were two things Cindy was passionate about: her family and her faith. A great deal of her time was spent with family and she was very devoted to her family, both immediate and extended. She was a Proverbs wife and a consummate grandmother. Bill and Cindy were married for 40 years and had 6 kids and 13 grandkids during that time. They enjoyed many years of faithful devotion to each other. Her grandkids enjoyed lots of time with her having sleepovers, making hot chocolate, baking, crafting, playing dress up, and having tea parties. She always made life an adventure for her grandkids.
When she wasn’t spending time with family, she was enjoying time with friends. She was a member of various groups that celebrated her faith. She was particularly involved in her BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) and her book club. She had many dear friends in these groups.
Besides faith and family, she will be remembered for being passionate and adventurous. She loved music and could turn anything into a song. Christian music was playing nearly 24/7. Music lived within her and she could often be heard humming or singing songs of praise for Jesus. Her love and passion for music is carried on by her children and her grandchildren. She was a conversationalist and could become friends with anyone. Her passion for adventure took her across the world to exotic places like Israel, Africa, Finland, American Samoa, Hawaii Islands, Ireland, and so much more. Everywhere she went, her smile and warm heart won her friendships that she cherished.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Francis and Hilda Connolly. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Creon “Bill” Nims; her six children: Creon “Bob” Nims (Bonnie), Gregory Nease (Teresa), Sarah Nims, Micah Nims (Elizabeth), Michelle Nims, and Levi Nims; 13 grandchildren: Doran, Grace, Isabelle, Luke, Joshua, Noah, Carolina, Elisha, Mary, Asher, Jonah, Uriah, and Aviana; her sisters Becky Brager, Lindy Benjamin, and Jennifer Weimer; and many close friends.
John 11:25-26 “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.”
