Bruce Thomas Caldwell was born August 3, 1933. He passed away on February 14, 2022 at the Washington Veterans Home in Port Orchard with his wife, Shu Lin Caldwell, by his bedside. He lived in Renton, WA, for almost 40 years. He was known by all to be a very kind, generous, and humble family man.
Bruce T. Caldwell was born and raised in Cedar Rapids Iowa, and raised as a Christian in the Methodist Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Coe College in Cedar Rapids major in Mathematics and Chemistry; Obtained his Law degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and received his Post Doctorate Or LLM in Law from the University of Texas in Austin.
After Graduating from Coe College in Cedar Rapids Bruce Joined the United States Air Force where he had a very successful career that spanned over 26 years. Being a pilot, he saw more beautiful horizons and sunsets than most people could ever dream about. He loved to fly; he would always say that “he couldn’t believe the Air Force paid him for something he loved so much to do”.
Bruce was a devout family man having raised two families in his lifetime and he was loved and cherished by all. He had 5 boys, Leigh, Larry, Steve, Thomas and William. He also has 7 Grandkids Lori and Linda from Larry, Jolene, Jessica, Justyna and Gregory from Steve and our newborn Luna from Thomas and Nancy. There are many Great Grand Children, too many to mention here and two Great Great Grand Children Dante and Lily.
The Memorial Ceremony for Bruce Thomas Caldwell will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery at 18600 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98042. The Service will begin at 11:00 am, however people have been asked to arrive at 10:45am before the memorial starts. Flowers are asked to be sent no later than March 1st to Weeks’ Dryer Mortuary at 220 134th St S, Tacoma, WA 98444. Please make sure to mark the flowers for Bruce T. Caldwell.
