Brian Gerard Leon was born in Tucson, Arizona, the youngest of four boys, on November 22, 1958. He had a very giving nature. Learned from watching his father reach out to others in need, Brian often set his heart to helping others. The type of person who would give you the shirt off his back if you asked for it, he was immensely kind. Brian was a Master Carpenter and was employed by Toth Construction where he built custom homes as a Site Foreman. He had a great desire to always expand his knowledge base and enjoyed reading books as a way of gathering information. Brian had a love of animals, especially his cat, Splat, and would spend time rescuing baby squirrels and raccoons. Over time he would care for them and ultimately release them into the wild once more.
Brian was not only devoted to his brothers but also his extended family and friends. He worked hard and played hard, finding joy in life at every turn. On most weekends he could be found at a friend’s house doing odd jobs and as always, giving. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, golfing, hiking, and simply taking in the world’s splendor. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Those who follow in his footsteps, who continue to give him their love despite their parting, are his wife Brenda Rousseau; his three stepchildren; his eight step-grandchildren; his brothers Mark Leon and Francis Leon (Dana); nephews Christopher and Mathew Leon; and countless friends he made throughout his journey. He was preceded in death by his parents Henry Lugo Leon and Jessica Campuzano; and his brother Alan Leon.
No public services will be held. Instead, Brian will be celebrated privately by family and friends.
