Bonnie was born in Redondo Beach, CA on August 19, 1936 to Ruth and Don Cox. Although she grew up moving regularly her fondest memories were of her time living on Catalina Island and spending summers with her grandmother “in the desert”. Her early adult years were spent moving around the country and the world as an Army wife. She became a mother for the first time in 1962 in Massachusetts, the second time in 1963 in Tacoma, and the third time in Virginia in 1969. In between we moved to Okinawa and later Oklahoma, and Texas. Her heart always remained with the trees in the Pacific NW, so as soon as she was able to, she moved us all “home” to Tacoma. Mom was dealt a terrible blow in 1992 and was given 5 years to live. She laughed at their diagnosis and lived another 30 years. Along the way she made many friends, and her family grew. Bonnie is survived by her ex-husband and lifelong friend David Huff, they never stopped loving one another. Her daughter Teri Hebert, her sons Jim Huff (wife Glynn) and Wayne Huff (wife Sandy), Grandchildren Ian Hebert (wife Chantal) and Noah Hebert (wife Michon), Bethany Rutherford, Perry and Olivia Huff, Stephanie, Christopher, Aliena-Rhei, Jessica-Lynn, Isaiah, Makaila and Levi Huff, Natalie Davis (husband Daniel). Great Grandchildren Madison, Cooper, Keegan, Leilani, Sofia, Winter, Sophia, Peter, Leo, Lanae, Sampson, and Selena. Because mom loved outside the lines, she is also survived by a number of unrelated but no less beloved grand and great-grandchildren Kristina Curtinseufert (husband Rob), Kayleighana, Cheylynn, Robbie, Leighla, and Savanna. Mom had a wonderful life. She will live in our hearts forever.
