Anna W. Bailey, of Tacoma, Washington, passed away on May 5, 2021. She was 79 years old. Born on March 15, 1942 in Charleston, Illinois to Glen and Lois Walker, Anna spent her early life surrounded by family. This was a tradition she upheld into adulthood. First, as an attentive mother to Kelly, Rick, Lisa, Sean, and Travis, who always attended extracurricular activities, then later to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. After raising her family and retiring from the rat race, Anna became the full-time artist she had always wanted to be. She used her nurturing, mothering hands to create works of art with paint and clay. She even sewed on occasion. Eventually she turned to picking up and upcycling furniture which she sold at many craft fairs. Anna loved the little things in life, the taste of a good chocolate shake and hamburger, the crack of a cold can of Pepsi, or even just taking a moment to watch the hummingbirds and squirrels dance just outside her window. Anna found contentment in life everywhere she turned.
Those left to remember her and perhaps inherit some of the things Anna loved to collect are her children Kelly, Rick, Sean, and Travis; grandchildren Jacob, Katy, Casey, Grant, Blake, Noah, Kai, Emma, Nicole, Paris, and Ariana; and eight great grandchildren. Her daughter, Lisa Bailey, preceded her in death in 2007.
