Raymond Allen Booth, 87, of Graham died the morning of March 11, 2018. He was born May 17, 1930 to Raymond and Irene Booth in Tacoma. Ray lived in this area for 87 years. He joined the Air Force in 1947 and was stationed in Labrador, Canada where he worked in logistics.
Ray married Ruth in 1950, and they had three children: Donald, Gloria, and Diana. He went on to work as a truck driver hauling freight, and was a very proud Teamster. Ray retired in 1988 after 35 years of employment with Puget Sound Truck Lines. He enjoyed camping, fishing (and later eating those fish), and travelling with Ruth. He also enjoyed going on cruises.
Ray is survived by his son Donald Booth of Danville, WA and daughters Gloria Tatro of Marysville, WA and Diana Rollins of Graham, WA; his sister Nancy Martin of Lakewood, WA; his grandchildren Michael Rollins of Spanaway, WA, Casey Rollins of McKenna, WA, Justin (Tiffany) Rollins of North Carolina, Colton Hunter of Graham, WA, Joshua Meyers of Fife, WA, and Shane Tatro of Marysville, WA; and his great-grandchildren Chase, Cameron, Justin, Kamalani, Kadin, Kyle, and Aiden.
He is preceded in death by his wife Ruth Booth, his sister Luella Johns, and his grandson Fred Meyers.
There will be a funeral service at Weeks’ Dryer Mortuary in Tacoma, WA on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 12:00 p.m., followed by a graveside service at 2:00 p.m. at Bethany Cemetery in Spanaway, WA. A reception will follow in the Bethany Church Hall.
