Phyllis Ann Richards, 84 years old, longtime resident of Graham, Washington. She was born on June 18, 1933 in Tacoma, Washington and passed away the morning of December 24, 2017 suddenly and peacefully in her home from a heart attack.
Phyllis had many talents. She knew how to sew, cook, garden and camp. She was famous for her homemade raspberry jam and applesauce. The last fifty plus years Phyllis has played bingo with her best high school girl friends. She really loved her hummingbirds and enjoyed watching all birds and squirrels that visited her bird feeders. Every year she looked forward to growing her big beautiful Dalia flowers.
Phyllis and Ross were married on October 26, 1952 in Tacoma Washington; they just celebrated sixty five years of marriage. Phyllis met Ross at a local dance hall and had been inseparable ever since. When they got married Ross was in the Navy so those times away were very hard. Phyllis and Ross loved to square dance and did so for twelve years. When they decided to retire Phyllis and Ross became snow birds and have traveled the country in a RV for fifteen years; for twelve years they would drive south to Yuma, Arizona for the winter and would drive back to Washington to spend their summers. The last two years they have spent their whole time in Graham Washington
Phyllis is survived by her loving husband of sixty-five years Ross Richards, their four children, Pamela, Mark, Cheryl and Michael, sister Nancy, fifteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
Phyllis was predeceased by her parents Edmond and Olga and brothers Don and Richard.
Phyllis was an angel on earth and Jesus needed her. She was a great wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her and she will be greatly missed.
