Erroll Claud Stevens lived a long and happy life. It started on August 1, 1922 in Orting, Washington and came to an end in Chehalis, Washington on August 12, 2019. His 97 years were filled with romance, adventure, and tomatoes. After graduating from Lincoln High School, Erroll followed his brother and quickly joined the Navy. He served during World War II and was proud to have been part of the armed forces. For 61 years he was married to the love of his life, Mafalda Stevens, until her death in 2008. Together they raised two sons, Erroll and Tom, traveled the country, planted vegetables that Mafalda later canned, and danced the night away as part of the Bonnie Lads Square Dancing Club. Kind and compassionate Erroll was extremely devoted to his rolls as a father, grandfather, great grandfather, and great-great grandfather. Erroll made happier the lives of his sons, Erroll (Karren) and Tom (Jackie) Stevens; five granddaughters; six great granddaughters; two great grandsons; and one great-great grandson. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved Mafalda at 12:30pm on August 22, 2019 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Tacoma, Washington. In recognition of his service to our country, military honors will be rendered.
